Welcome to the web site for the Philadelphia Association for Independent Support Brokers. The Association was started officially in August 2000 . You are encouraged to check this site for new information and developments as we expand our ideas and capabilities. We are dedicated to providing training, mentoring, advice, and general support to Support Brokers working with individuals who are part of the Philadelphia Self-Determination initiative. Our goal is to develop adequate resources and training, as well as a registry of trained Support Brokers to enable those seeking a Support Broker to choose from a diverse group. Support Brokers are chosen by and work directly for the specific person participating in self-determination.
